The Windermere High School varsity baseball team defeated Tavares High School 9-0 during its last game of the regular season Thursday, April 27.
Senior pitchers Jack Sanchez and Dylan Ostendorf as well as junior relief pitcher Ty Head teamed up during the game and — collectively — allowed one hit, no runs and walked four while striking out eight.
Offensively, senior Justin Grant brought in three runs after connecting a homer at the bottom of the third inning, while senior Holden Brauner contributed with a solo home run during the game.
The Wolverines have a six-game winning streak, own a 21-3-1 overall season record and currently are seed No. 2 in the Class 7A, District 5, waiting to see what team they will face during their first game of district play.
