Horizon West Hospital’s back-to-school wellness event is Saturday

Orlando Health – Horizon West Hospital is getting families ready for school with a back-to-school wellness event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. It will be held at the hospital, 17000 Porter Road, Winter Garden.

The morning will include health and wellness activities, Touch-a-Truck, free bike helmet giveaways, car seat safety checks and musical performances. Attendees can meet physicians and register to win prizes as well.

In addition, a school supply drive is being coordinated with Orange County Public Schools, and the hospital is collecting supplies such as glue sticks, lunch boxes, hand sanitizer, crayons, No. 2 pencils, notebook paper and pocket folders.

Drop-off locations are Horizon West Hospital, as well as Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, 10000 W. Colonial Drive, Ocoee.
