Water Spring Middle School hosted a community sneak peek for its new campus Friday, Aug. 4.
Family and friends were welcomed through the gates by the Horizon High School color guard and band members.
For the last two years, the students of WSMS have shared a campus with Horizon High while the new school was under construction.
Attendees had the opportunity to tour the school, visit with teachers, meet their new mascot, purchase school swag and more.
Spearheaded by Orange County School Board member Pam Gould, the campus features computer labs, advanced technology, a multipurpose cafeteria, a large gymnasium and many more amenities.
WSMS is led by Principal Brian Sanchez Corona, Assistant Principals Arnetta Heidelberg and Nicole Mutters, as well as PTSO President Kati Dukes.
The school, located at 17000 Water Spring Blvd., will serve more than 700 students and is fully staffed at 67.
The school is expected to hit 1,000 students by January.
