Dream Finders Homes has announced it has begun pre-construction sales for some of the larger homes at The Palms at Windermere community in Horizon West.

The floor plans will be similar to those at the company’s Lakeside at Hamlin community and will range from three to seven bedrooms. The offered plans will span from 2,500 to 5,000 square feet.

Prices are expected to begin in the $800,000s.

According to the organization, Dream Finders will offer expansive 60- and 65-foot-wide home sites to accommodate some of the company's top floor plans.

The community is only minutes from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

Dream Finders purchased the 306-acre property with plans to create the single-family home community on Reams Road in January 2022.

The property — which Dream Finders purchased for $5.87 million — is part of a conservation area consisting of more than 1,200 acres around Lake Reams.

However, Gerry Boeneman, president of the company’s Central Florida division, said Dream Finders is only building 57 homes on the parcel, and the project will be the last new construction in the area.

“Most of the property is considered wetlands and classified as a conservation area, so only 15 of the 305 acres can be developed," he said in a press release. “This community, on the east side of the intersection of Reams and Fiquette Roads, will offer large open spaces, sports courts and a tot lot. Our floor plans for this community were designed with upscale finishes and features."
