Oakland PD hosting 5K with the 5-0 event

The event will include a deejay, chair massages, booths and a helicopter landing.

The Oakland Police Department is hosting a special event this weekend. 

The 5K with the 5-0 event will include a deejay, chair massages, booths and a helicopter landing.

The run will take place along the West Orange Trail, and all proceeds will benefit the Oakland PD community programs. 

Packet pick-up will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Oakland PD Friday, June 16, and from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Oakland PD Saturday, June 17.

The opening ceremony will take place at 6 p.m., and the race will start at 6:30 p.m.

Those who plan to virtually walk or run the 5K must enter their results before 8 p.m. Sunday, June 18.

All finishers will received a medal, and awards will be given to the top three in each age group.
