Ocoee PD arrests woman for grand theft, false identification

Jessica Leigh Kendrick was arrested and transported to the Orange County jail Tuesday, June 20.

The Ocoee Police Department has arrested a woman facing two charges after an incident Tuesday, June 20, in the city.

Officers from the department responded to a call in reference to a theft at the Walmart Supercenter located at 10500 W. Colonial Drive, Ocoee.

According to an official police report, Jessica Leigh Kendrick changed out of her clothing into new clothing from the store. Kendrick also concealed multiple items hidden in two coolers in a shopping cart.

The total theft of merchandise was $2,617.18.

After Kendrick bypassed all points of sale, she pushed the shopping cart into the parking lot before being apprehended by an officer.

Kendrick then falsely identified herself as Jessica Marie Eichner. 

Kendrick was charged with grand theft and false identification by a person arrested, and transported to the Orange County jail.
