The Windermere High School PTSO has created The Douglas Guthrie Achieving Greatness with Honor Scholarship. This $500 award will recognize current Windermere High seniors who demonstrate and aspire to achieve their fullest potential and greatness. The scholarship is made possible through the generosity of those who contribute to the school’s PTSO.
One student will be selected annually, and the scholarship will be given to one individual in his or her pursuit of continuing education at any accredited university, college, junior college, community college or technical/trade institute.
Completed applications must be submitted online no later than 11:59 p.m. Sunday, April 9. This scholarship has been designated for a current senior who has overcome some personal adversity, is on track to complete high school studies and wishes to continue his or her education.

Any senior, regardless of grades or college entrance exam scores, can apply. Selection of the recipient will be based on an essay and a completed application.
The Scholarship Committee review panel may be members representing the PTSO, a representative from the community, and Windermere High teachers and staff.

The scholarship will be awarded during Senior Awards Night in April. Contact Christine Breen Crenshaw at [email protected] with questions.
