City Commission to swear in re-elected mayor and new city commissioners

Johnson, Firstner and Kennedy will be sworn in at the Ocoee Commission meeting Tuesday, March 21.

The Ocoee City Commission will hold its next regular City Commission meeting at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 21.

The consent agenda includes the approval of the Fifth Amendment to the interlocal agreement between the City of Ocoee and the Orange County School Board pertaining to the Coca-Cola Property and the approval of Phase 2 for the Vandergrift Central Park Skatepark Project. 

The commission will perform the first readings of ordinance for the annexation and rezoning of the property located 413 Whittier Avenue and the annexation and rezoning of the property located at 911 Marshall Farms Road. 

Right after the swearing in ceremony for re-elected Mayor Rusty Johnson, District 3 Commissioner Richard Firstner and the new elected District 1 Commissioner Scott Kennedy there will be a special session held in order to discuss the process to appoint a new commission member on the vacant seat for District 4. 

The commission will discuss and approve a special election date to elect a new commissioner that will represent District 4. 

Citizens can attend in person at the Ocoee City Hall at 1 N. Bluford Ave., Ocoee.
