Orange County hosts Summerlake Park groundbreaking in Horizon West

The 5-acre park will be located next to Summerlake Elementary School at Porter Road and Woodsage Drive.

Orange County hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for Summerlake Park on Monday, March 27, in Horizon West. 

The event was led by Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson.

The 5-acre park will be located next to Summerlake Elementary School at Porter Road and Woodsage Drive.

According to Matt Suedmeyer, manager of the Parks and Recreation Division, the park is close to the construction phase and will open in late 2023 or early 2024.
