TFA baseball prepares for district semifinals

After a surprisingly successful season due to a high number of newcomers, the Royals are waiting to see who they will play at the Class 2A, District 7, semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 2.

This season was another one for the books for The First Academy baseball team as they ended their regular play with a 23-2 overall season record.

With a younger team than in previous years, the Royals were able to maintain their winning record and currently sit as the No. 1 seed in Class 2A, District 7.

For the last two games of its regular season, the team defeated Lake Minneola 8-3 Tuesday, April 25, and University High School 9-0 Thursday, April 27.

The Royals are now patiently waiting to see who they will play at the district semifinals that will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 2.
