Olympic champion sprinter found dead in Horizon West

Frentorish "Tori" Bowie, 32, a three-time Olympic medalist and two-time world champion, was found dead in a home located in the Horizon West area Tuesday, May 2.


Tori Bowie's management company, Icon Management, posted this message on Twitter: “We’re devastated to share the very sad news that Tori Bowie has passed away. We’ve lost a client, dear friend, daughter and sister. Tori was a champion…a beacon of light that shined so bright! We’re truly heartbroken, and our prayers are with the family and friends."

Frentorish "Tori" Bowie, 32, a three-time Olympic medalist and two-time world champion, was found dead in a home located in the Horizon West area Tuesday, May 2.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, deputies were requested to do a welfare check on Bowie at around 1 p.m. at a house located in the 5400 block of Bowman Drive, where Bowie was found dead. 

The deputies did not find any signs of foul play, and the Medical Examiner's Office is in charge of determining the cause of death, which will be released at a later date.
