Citizens in the town of Windermere gathered in front of Town Hall for a Memorial Day observance Monday, May 29.
The service, hosted by the Rotary Club of Windermere, honored those who have given their all for the country.
The event began with the voices of the Girl Scouts of Citrus and was followed by an invocation from Rev. Brad Jagger and the presentation of colors by the Sea Cadets Lone Sailor Division.
In addition, the rotary club read a letter from Windermere Mayor Jim O’Brien and attendees enjoyed words from guest speaker Col. Calvin Wimbish.
