Winter Garden business owner nominated for Small Business Excellence Award

Winter Garden business owner Mara Abraham, Certified Translations dba ClariVita, has been nominated for a Small Business Excellence Award by the Florida Small Business Development Center at the University of Central Florida.

Abraham, founder and CEO of ClariVita Language Services, is one of 15 nominees for the second year of the program, which aims to celebrate the success, growth, business acumen and community involvement of FSBDC at UCF's clients from across its eight-county region. 

"The nomination is a great honor not only to me but to Clarivita’s team," she said. "To be picked from thousands of small businesses from eight different counties and receive this recognition is extremely rewarding. I feel grateful and excited for what the future may bring."

The finalists and award winner will be selected by the FSBDC at UCF’s Executive Board which is made up of local small business leaders, educators and stakeholders.

The nominees and Entrepreneur of the Year award winner will be honored at an invitation-only awards luncheon Nov. 1, at the Citrus Club in Orlando. 

“The FSBDC at UCF is proud to recognize these fifteen deserving nominees for their achievements through our second annual Small Business Excellence Award program,”Eunice Choi, FSBDC at UCF Regional Director, said. “Small businesses are the key drivers of our local economy, creating prosperity, generating jobs and improving the quality of life in our communities.
