As the air grows crisper, it's not only the season that transforms; it's also our hearts. This fall, Fravel Brewer Orthodontics is excited to introduce "Giving Week," a special initiative designed to bring our practice and the local community together to support those in need. While our primary focus is on creating beautiful smiles, we also believe in the power of creating a beautiful community. In this Q&A-style article, we'll share more about Giving Week, our mission, and how you, our patients, and the broader community can join us in making a difference through a canned goods donation drive.
Q: What is Giving Week, and why is it important for Fravel Brewer Orthodontics?
Dr. Brewer: Giving Week is a special initiative where our orthodontic office comes together with Christian Service Center of Orlando to support those in need in our community. This month is all about giving back, and it's an important part of our commitment of not only creating beautiful smiles but also making a positive impact on the community.
Q: How does Giving Week work, and what is our focus this year?
Dr. Fravel: During Giving Week, we partner with our patients, their families, and our local community to collect canned and boxed foods. We believe that no one should go hungry, particularly during the holidays, and we're determined to make a difference. During the week of Thanksgiving, we hand deliver all of our awesome collected items directly to Christian Service Center right here in Ocoee.
Q: How can patients and the community get involved in Giving Week?
Dr. Brewer: It's easy to get involved! Instead of dressing up to participate in our monthly theme week, our patients are asked to bring canned and boxed food items to our office during Giving Week. In exchange, we give our patients OrthoDollars that can use in our Ortho Swag Store. We're also reaching out to the broader community and local businesses, inviting them to join us in this charitable endeavor.
Q: What's the significance of a canned goods donation drive in an orthodontic setting?
Dr. Fravel: Orthodontic treatment is a journey, and we love the relationships we build with our patients. We believe that giving back and involving our patients in community service not only promotes a sense of purpose but also strengthens the bond we share. It's a way to teach kindness and empathy, values that go beyond a beautiful smile.
Q: What are the dates for Giving Week this year, and where can people drop off donations?
Dr. Brewer: Giving Week is scheduled for November 13th to 17th this year. Patients can bring their canned goods donations to our Ocoee office during their appointments. We are located at 1291 Blackwood Ave, Ocoee, FL. We're also opening up our office to the public to drop off their canned goods during our office hours or to invite our community to donate to the official site at Christian Service Center of Orlando.
With Giving Week, we're reminded that the power of kindness knows no bounds. It's not just about enhancing smiles; it's about brightening lives within our community, particularly our most vulnerable. Your support and generosity make this initiative a success, and for that, we're immensely grateful. As we come together, not only as a practice but as a caring community, we look forward to the lasting impact we'll create. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful initiative, and for helping us demonstrate that the spirit of giving can truly transform lives.
