West Orange star defensive back Ivan Taylor is ready to make his college commitment. The seven schools that Taylor will be deciding between are FSU, Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Wisconsin and USC.
The 6-foot, 170-pound safety will make the announcement at West Orange High at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1.
Taylor, the son of Super Bowl champion Ike Taylor, is a four-star prospect with offers from the top college football programs in the country. His play this season earned a spot on the All-Orange Observer Football First Team after recording 50 tackles, six of which were for a loss, forcing three fumbles and catching an interception for the Warriors.
Beyond his production, whichever school Taylor commits to will be getting a speedy and agile defensive back who's a solid tackler in the open field and be a major factor in breaking up passes.
Given his pedigree, expect Taylor to quickly make a name for himself at the next level.
