Orange County is collecting peanut butter for Florida's Peanut Butter Challenge.

The annual food drive challenges community members to donate unopened, unexpired jars of peanut butter of any size to help combat hunger during the month of October.

There are 13 drop-off locations across Orange County, with two in West Orange County.

The first is the Tibet-Butler Preserve office, 8777 Winter Garden-Vineland Road, and the second is the West Orange Recreation Center, 309 SW. Crown Point Road.

The collection is organized by the UF/IFAS Extension Orange County, which "provides education and information to residents and businesses through workshops, publications, and mass media in the areas of family life, youth development, natural resources, horticulture, and agriculture," according to the organization's website.

All proceeds will be donated to local food pantries to stock the shelves for the holiday season.
