The Legacy High School football team fell against Faith Christian Academy 14-6 during a district game Friday, Sept. 1.
Neither the Eagles nor the Lions reach the opposing end zones during the first quarter, and even though Legacy managed to place a touchdown on the scoreboard during the second quarter to get ahead, the kicker missed the field goal, keeping the score 6-0.
The Lions came from behind prior to the end of the second quarter, reaching the end zone for a touchdown to tie the game and deciding to go for a 2-point conversion — which was successful — instead of a field goal, putting the game 8-6 prior to halftime.
Before the final whistle, Faith Christian scored one more touchdown but missed the field goal for the final score of 14-6.
The Eagles (0-2) will next host Tradition Prep (Port St. Lucie) at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at the Ocoee Bulldog Field.
