Allen’s Creamery & CoffeeHouse is permanently closing its doors after the National Night Out and food truck event in the town of Windermere, set for Friday, Sept. 22.

“As we are closing in on our last night at Allen’s Creamery, we want to extend our sincere gratitude for the community’s love and support,” co-owner Amy Allen said. “It has been an amazing 15 years, and we feel so blessed to have been a part of so many memories that you have shared with us. Ours hearts are full.”

In a final act of community service, owners Matt and Amy Allen, and Mark and Anne Allen, are holding a collection drive to help the Windermere family that experienced recently a devastating house fire. The couple has three young boys.

Suggested items to donate are short-set pajamas, sizes 3, 5 and 7; shoes, sizes 9, 11 and 13; size 12 flipflops; children’s toothbrushes and fleece blankets; outdoor toys such as monster trucks, kickballs, baby pool, shovels and buckets; Lego sets; slime kits; and bicycles and helmets.

Allen’s Creamery is at 523 Main St., Windermere.
