Ocoee FD honored for accreditation completion

This is the second accreditation for the Ocoee Fire Department from the Center for Public Safety Excellence.

The Ocoee Fire Department was honored recently for successfully completing the accreditation process through the Center for Public Safety Excellence.

The fire department was presented with a plaque at the city of Ocoee's commission meeting Tuesday, Sept. 19.

This is the second accreditation for the Ocoee FD. 

The department is one of 313 fire agencies in the country to receive International Accreditation status. 

The accreditation process consists of a peer review of the accreditation documents, completion of an on-site assessment and participation in a public hearing before the Commission on Fire Accreditation International
