Hope Church celebrated recently eight years of serving the West Orange community.

The church, opened in 2015, is led by Lead Pastor Wes Beacham and his wife, Diana, who serves as executive director.

The pair has been married for sixteen years and has four children: Hope, John, Judah and Selah.

Wes Beacham launched the church Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at West Orange High School.

He said it all started at a youth camp when he was 15 years old. He felt called into full-time Christian ministry that day. And he pursued it, thinking he would be a youth pastor for the rest of his life.

He worked at a church in Jacksonville for three-and-one-half years and at Orlando Baptist Church for another eight. But then, he felt God telling him to start a church.

Hope Church exists for "the purpose of loving people - not just certain people, but all people, at all times, in all places," according to the organization's website. "People matter to Hope Church because people matter to God. We are here to encourage you and help you find your purpose. We are here to help you raise your family and build relationships. We don’t want to do church with you. We want to do life with you."

Hope Church is located in the Roper YMCA at 100 Windermere Road, Winter Garden.

Services are held at 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Sundays.
