On behalf of Legacy Events for Education and the Observer Media Group, we’d like to welcome you to the first Hamlin Craft Beer Festival — New Beer’s Eve! We are super excited you are here to celebrate this event with us. We hope you are ready to sample some of the finest craft beers from throughout the country!
Like so many of the great events in Horizon West, this festival is the culmination of a few local leaders seeing a need and working to fulfill it — all in hopes that it brings joy to attendees and benefits the community at-large.
After many months of planning, we are thrilled to welcome more than 20 breweries from throughout Florida — and beyond — to our hometown. We are sure you will find at least one new favorite (and most likely, more than one)! Inside this guide, you’ll find spotlights on each of these breweries and their offerings.
In addition to the beer, please make sure to visit our interactive games area; peruse the local artisan market; and grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks. For you gear heads, don’t miss the Hamlin Cruise-In Car Show.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Legacy Events for Education, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity. Our mission is to inspire students, teachers and communities to leave their legacy on the world. We believe it is important to encourage involvement and making a difference in our local communities. Since inception, Legacy has delivered more than $120,000 in scholarships and grants to local graduates and their schools. Legacy funds these efforts though the production of community fundraising events such as the Central Florida Chili Cookoff and Hamlin Craft Beer Festival, generous sponsorships from local businesses and individual donations from the local community. For more information, visit Legacy’s website at legacyeventsfored.org.
The Observer Media Group publishes the West Orange Times & Observer, Southwest Orange Observer, OrangeObserver.com and all associated social-media channels. For more than a century, the Observer has been the local paper of record for Winter Garden, Windermere, Ocoee, Oakland, Dr. Phillips and Horizon West. For more, visit our website at OrangeObserver.com or follow us on all social media channels at OrangeObserver.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the support of our wonderful sponsors: Shannon Till — State Farm; Skyline Chili; Horizon Custom Home Technologies; Truly Nolen; Austin Arthur; McKinnon Groves; GPK Holdings; Hamlin; Horizon West Happenings; IQ Portfolios; Holes to Go Orlando; A Rack Above; Jake Petroski; Floor Coverings International; SOS Contractors LLC; Orlando Outdoor Living; Sweathouz; Surveillance Plus; Community Health Centers; and Clermont Watersports Complex. We also thank City Beverages and Progressive Distribution for helping recruit some of the breweries represented at this year’s festival.
And with that, we invite you to grab your glass, visit our inaugural vendors and delight your palates. Cheers!
