Girls flag football playoffs kick off

Seven teams from West Orange and Southwest Orange are in the hunt for their district’s crown.

The girls high school flag football playoffs have started, and seven area teams were in the hunt for their district’s crown. 

In Class 2A, District 9, Ocoee High will face the winner of the Evans High/Wekiva High game scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, and West Orange hosted Apopka High in the district semifinals Wednesday, April 10. 

In the District 10 semis, Dr. Phillips will face Olympia at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, and Horizon High will play Windermere High Tuesday, April 9.

In Class 1A, Lake Buena Vista High fell, 35-0, to Bishop Moore Catholic Monday, April 8, in the District 12 quarterfinals.
