Ocoee Police Department officials have announced the appointment of the team's newest chief: Vincent L. Ogburn.

Ogburn has been serving as the acting chief since former chief Saima Plasencia was terminated in November 2023.

Ogburn has been serving with the department since 2020.

He first began his law enforcement career with the Florida Highway Patrol as a state trooper in 1991.

He served Orange and Osceola counties with FHP until he was hired by the Orlando Police Department in 1996. There, Ogburn rose through the ranks to serve as a deputy chief.

During his tenure, he served the Orlando community in the patrol division, special operations division, as a public information officer and as the chief's staff director.
