Foundation Academy announced via a social media post that baseball coach Dakoda Grove has been named the school's new sports information director and assistant athletics director. He will add these new duties to his current role as baseball coach.

"I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to serve Foundation Academy as the Sports Information Directory/Assistant AD," Grove said in the post. "I am very excited to serve and continue learning from all the student-athletes, coaches and administrators at Foundation. I look forward to playing a major role in the growth and expansion of athletics here."

This move marks another shift in the Foundation athletics staff over the past weeks. Boys basketball coach Nathanial Hughes will leave the school to become the athletic director at Baptist University of Florida, with longtime Windermere Prep assistant Sharrod Williams replacing him. Foundation football's defensive coordinator Denzel Irvin is also transitioning roles and is set to become a sports performance coach for the school.

This announcement comes as Grove, who's in his first season at the school, is leading the baseball team to a historic season — having already broken the school record for wins (18) and currently holding a 20-3 record, with the district playoffs set to begin at the end of April.

For Grove, this position's goal is simple: Positively impact the students.

"Our goal is to help shape our student-athletes into successful men and women, glorify God in everything we do and win championships," he said.

Grove is set to begin serving in the new role on June 1.
