Orlando Health and the Bloom & Grow Garden Society partnered to celebrate Earth Day through a tree planting Monday, April 22, at the Horizon West hospital.

Bloom & Grow, a Winter Garden-based organization that spearheads community projects through gardening, helped to plant four pink trumpet trees outside of the hospital, located at 17000 Porter Road, Winter Garden.

One of the trees was dedicated to the memory of Kari Schmitz, founder and president of Bears Who Care

Schmitz was a beloved leader in the West Orange County community, who lost her battle to lung cancer earlier this year.
