Ocoee PD receives 2024 Safety Challenge Award

The traffic unit accepted the honor given by the Florida Law Enforcement Liaison Program.

The Ocoee Police Department has received the 2024 Safety Challenge Award from the Florida Law Enforcement Liaison Program.

The award was presented to the department's traffic unit for their efforts in keeping the city of Ocoee streets safe.

The LEL Program is a grant-funded program sponsored by the Florida Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The goal of the LEL Program is to partner with law enforcement agencies to promote and increase participation in state and national traffic enforcement waves and mobilizations. 

The LEL Program promotes the annual Florida Law Enforcement Traffic Safety Challenge to increase awareness and participation in traffic safety-related efforts.
