Ocoee PD investigating shooting

The victim of the shooting has been transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ocoee Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place around 12:51 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the city of Ocoee.

A press release from the department states an Ocoee officer heard the sound of the gunshot near 2308 Ocoee-Apopka Road, Ocoee. 

Upon arrival, the officer found an adult man at a nearby location pointing a gun at another man who received a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim of the shooting has been transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ocoee PD have identified all individuals related to the incident and report there is no threat to the community. 

The incident currently remains an active investigation.
