A new Sonny's BBQ location is opening in the Lake Buena Vista area.

The new location, owned by iServ LLC, boasts more than 5,000 square feet and seats up to 189 guests across a mix of seating options. The location will feature a center bar, drive-thru and patio seating.

Sonny's BBQ serves a multitude of food options, including wings, ribs, brisket, sandwiches, salads, and mac and cheese.

The barbecue restaurant chain was founded by Floyd "Sonny" Tillman in 1968 in Gainesville, Florida. Bob Yarmuth purchased the company in 1991 and continues as the company's owner and CEO today.

Today, Sonny's BBQ can be found at more than 100 locations across the United States.

The new location will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the West Orange Chamber of Commerce at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, and will host a grand opening event at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28.

The grand opening event will include a free Pork Big Deal for the first 68 guests; catering menu sampling in the dining room; spin-to-win swag, including sauce bottles, T-shirts and free meals; and additional surprises throughout the day to celebrate.

"Our team has been preparing for months to serve you our signature BBQ and welcome you to our tables. The grand opening is just the start to spreading the spirit of BBQ across Lake Buena Vista.”

The new Sonny's BBQ location can be found at 12124 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, Suite 100, Orlando.
