Health center welcomes Dr. Kathy Rovito to board

The new member brings a wealth of medical experience to the role on the CHC Board of Directors.

Community Health Centers Inc. has appointed Dr. Kathy Rovito to its board of directors. With a distinguished background in community and public health, Rovito brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role.

Rovito, currently serving as the faculty director of the Community Health Program in the Department of Health Professions at Rollins College, has a history of dedication to underserved populations. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida, a master’s degree in public health from Boston University and a doctorate in public health from Loma Linda University.

Rovito actively contributes to various community initiatives, including the Resilience Network through the Peace and Justice Institute and the Florida Healthy Youth Alliance. She also supports the philanthropic efforts of 100 Women Strong, a circle dedicated to addressing challenges affecting women and children in Central Florida.

“I am an advocate for community and public health, especially for underserved populations,” Rovito said. “I look forward to contributing to CHC’s mission and working alongside dedicated professionals to enhance the well-being of our Central Florida community.”

The CHC Board of Directors plays a crucial role in guiding the organization’s strategic planning, financial oversight, legal compliance and policy development. With more than 50% of its members being patients of CHC, the board is dedicated to ensuring the delivery of quality and compassionate healthcare services.
