As of the latest MaxPreps rankings; released Dec. 2, prior to press time, the Windermere High boys soccer team slotted as the ninth-ranked team in the nation, the seventh in Florida and second in FHSAA Class 7A.

Prior to the rankings release, the Wolverines opened the season in dominant fashion; winning six consecutive games with a goal difference of +32 (scoring 38 goals and allowing six).

In those six games, Windermere scored more than three goals in each game, with three shutouts and never winning by less than three goals. Despite the hot start, the next MaxPreps rankings could see the Wolverines fall after a 2-1 road loss to Lake Mary High Dec. 2.

Regardless of how far Windermere drops in the next rankings, expect the Windy City boys to continue its excellent play this season and eventually make the climb back up.
