Troopers are on-scene of a fatal crash that occurred at about 3:04 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9.

The crash occurred on the northbound Florida’s Turnpike exit ramp to the eastbound I-4 Express Lanes in Orlando.

Preliminary evidence shows a 1993 Mazda MX-5 was traveling northbound on the Florida’s Turnpike exit ramp to I-4 (mile marker 259) in the outside lane.

The driver then overcorrected to the left and struck the inside shoulder concrete wall barrier. The vehicle then overturned onto its roof.

The driver died on-scene.

A passenger, a 19-year-old male from Saint Cloud, was transported to Health Central Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There is currently a roadblock on the northbound lanes on the Florida’s Turnpike and the exit ramp.

The crash remains under investigation.
