Former Ocoee High football standout Asaad Waseem has announced he is transferring from Colorado and will be heading back to the Sunshine State to play college football at FAU.

The Class of 2023 three-star receiver originally chose the Buffalos over 18 other offers — including FAU, UCF, Miami and Tennessee. In his two seasons for Colorado, Waseem played in two games, both in 2023, and recorded one kickoff return for nine yards.

After announcing his decision to transfer to the Owls, his former college coach, Deion Sanders, wished him nothing but the best.

“I'm so darn proud of (you), man,” Sanders wrote in a post on X. “Lead, work and practice on purpose (and) with purpose. The standard is the standard; I don't care what uniform you're wearing!”
