The West Orange Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Big Orange Awards Friday, Feb. 9, at Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort.
Each year, the WOCC holds this signature event to celebrate the accomplishments and triumphs of some of the organization’s most admired and inspirational members.
The event included a fun-filled, interactive reception, as well as an elaborate dinner and a celebration of outstanding individuals and businesses in the West Orange community.
WOCC President and CEO Stephen Lewis led the night’s festivities.
The winners of the awards were Bill Cowles, Orange County Supervisor of Elections, the Sam Hovsepian Award “Spirit of West Orange;” Krista Carter, lifetime member of the WOCC, the Mary VanDeventer Award “Spirit of West Orange;” Orlando Magic, Georgie Bailey Award; Dennis Jones, Winter Garden Wheel Works, Bert Roper Award; Skip Brown, Bright Future Electric, Danniel J. Petro “The Bright Future of West Orange Award;” and Frank Adams, FASTSIGNS, Chairman’s Award.
In addition, Luminary Tax Advisors was honored as the Small Business Member of the Year, Sysco Central Florida was recognized as the Big Business Member of the Year and The Ambassador Award went to Jo Barsh, State Farm Insurance Agent.
