This summer, Walt Disney World visitors will have the opportunity to join Princess Tiana and Louis, a jazz-loving alligator, on their journey through a shimmering bayou as they prepare for a spirited celebration during Mardi Gras season.

The new attraction, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, will be available in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park.

Disney announced the news Tuesday, Feb. 13.

The enchanting musical storyline is inspired by the Disney animated film "The Princess and the Frog."

Along the way, guests will see familiar faces, as well as make new friends, as the next chapter of Tiana’s story is brought to life.

The new attraction was first announced June 24, 2020.

The ride replaces the previous splash mountain attraction, which had been in operation since 1992.
