Four West Orange students selected as winners in Page 15's writing contest

Out of 178 submissions, four authors from the selected 15 winners of Page 15's annual High School Writing Contest are from West Orange County.

Four West Orange County students have been selected as winners in Page 15's annual High School Writing Contest.

Out of 178 submissions, four authors from the selected 15 winners of the twelfth annual competition are from the West Orange area. 

The four area winners are: Thuyen Le and Deandre Powell, Ocoee High School; Greer Gaspard, West Orange High School; and Neela McLein, Windermere Preparatory School. 

Every year, Page 15 challenges high schoolers from across Central Florida to respond to a unique and challenging writing prompt.

Page 15 representatives said the passion contained within each piece of this year's entries made the job of picking 15 finalists incredibly difficult. 

"A very big thank you to every writer who submitted their work to our contest and every educator who encouraged their talented and hardworking students," Page 15 officials said in the announcement of the winners.
