The Winter Garden Heritage Foundation is hosting a forum — with the help of the Rev. Dan Johnson — to gather local history and family stories from residents in east Winter Garden. The free event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Heller Hall, 21 E. Plant Street.

Heritage foundation staff are available to scan photographs and documents to add to the growing archive of black family and business files, and they will be available to record the stories. The project is funded in part by Orange County Government through the Arts & Cultural Affairs Program and by United Arts Central Florida.

For information, call the WGHF at (407) 656-3244.
