The West Orange Neighborhood Center for Families is hosting a Back-to-School Family Engagement & Resource Expo this weekend.

The event will include free food, school supplies, sneakers, immunizations and the opportunity for families to connect with community resources.

Community resources that will be available include tutoring, counseling, after-school programing, and family and neighborhood safety.

Those who wish to receive immunizations or sports electrocardiograms must bring paren/guardian identification, the child's birth certificate or identification and the child's vaccination record. The child also must be present.

The event is in partnership with Orange County Government, Orange County District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson and The Neighborhood Center for Families, which is overseen by the Orange County Citizens' Commission for Children, a division of the Orange County Community & Family Services Department.

The expo will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at 303 S.W. Crown Point Road, Winter Garden.

Pre-registration, which can be done here, is not required but is recommended.
