Community Health Fair is Wednesday, June 12

Hope Along the Way is sponsoring the event, being held in partnership with the city of Winter Garden and Orange County Government’s District 1.

Hope Along the Way, the city of Winter Garden and the Orange County District 1 office are partnering to bring a Community Health Fair to local residents. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the Winter Garden Resource Center, 125 Center St., Winter Garden.

The free event will offer screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure, colon cancer, women’s health, behavior issues, heart health, dental health and mental health There also will be information from various health care professionals, local nonprofits and community groups dedicated to health and wellness.

Hope Along the Way is a nonprofit that focuses on community outreach in Winter Garden through monthly community feedings, hygiene product giveaways, free resume services and referral services, mental health and grief forums, free scholarships to Winter Garden students and more.
