The First Academy girls golfer Mi Li has continued her dominant form from the high school circuit — which saw her win her second consecutive individual state championship — to the junior circuit by finishing in the top five for a third consecutive tournament.
Following a runner-up finish at the Adam Scott Junior Championship and a win at the Ben An Junior Championship, the Royals rising senior shot a 209 (-7) over 54 holes at the Rolex Girls Junior Championship on June 20.
Li’s 209 score at the Capital City Club in Milton, Georgia was good enough to earn her a fourth-place finish — and was the lowest she’s shot in an invitational, over three rounds — against the 72 of the top junior golfers in the American Junior Golf Association.
Currently ranked as the 41st best junior girls golfer in the Rolex AJGA Rankings as of June 18, recently rising three spots, Li was just four strokes off the leader — fellow rising senior Elizabeth Rudisill, who shot a 205 (-11).
In the six total AJGA events she has played in 2024, Li has finished in the top 20 five times and has an average finish of ninth (8.83) and an average round score of 71.65.
