Starting Wednesday, June 26 at 9 p.m. the ramp from northbound State Road 429 — in the direction of Apopka — to northbound Florida's Turnpike at exit 22 — in the direction of Oakland — will be closed until Friday, June 28 at 6 a.m. for construction work on the bridge.

During this time, drivers will be directed to exit at Plant Street — exit 24.

According to the Central Florida Expressway Authority, this work is part of a capacity improvements project on the 429 from West Road to State Road 414, which began February 2022 and is expected to be completed in early 2025.

Though work is slated to be completed on Friday morning, weather and other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong current projections.

CFX is reminding motorists to use caution in the construction area for their safety and that of the work crews.
