PHOTOS: Annual Independence Firework Spectacular in Horizon West

With the Fourth of July right around the corner, the Independence Village of Horizon West lived up to its name and kicked off the patriotic celebrations with its annual fireworks festival on Saturday, June 29, at the Commons at Independence: The Independence Firework Spectacular.

Despite a little rain, the event went off without a hitch and saw plenty of residents come out to enjoy everything it had to offer.

Along with a spectacular fireworks show to end the evening, the event also featured a live deejay; a kids zone filled with bounce houses, obstacle courses and a foam machine; a line of food trucks that seemed endless; and vendors giving attendees all sorts of goodies.
