Windermere High School hosted its annual dance marathon event Saturday, March 2, in the school’s gymnasium.
This year’s theme was “Dancing in Wonderland,” and the school was able to raise a total amount of $77,702.82.
Wolverine students spent 11 hours on their feet and dancing to help raise funds and spread awareness for the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, which treats children from the area and provides critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services for children and their families.
To pass the time, students participated in a plethora of games and activities, ran through an inflatable obstacle course, showed off their best dance moves, had the opportunity to play with puppies from Creegan Canine Rescue, and snacked on food items and sweet treats.
In addition, students from the University of Central Florida, who participated in the Knight-Thon dance marathon, attended the event for assistance and moral support.
