Author giving presentation of hidden Florida history

Author and historian Jim Clark will join the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation for a presentation and signing for his book, “Hidden Florida History.” The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Heller Hall, 21 E. Plant St., Winter Garden.

Clark is a senior Llcturer at the University of Central Florida, where he has taught history since 1987. He earned a doctorate in Florida history from the University of Florida.

He also is the prolific author of nine books on Florida history and the editor of a three-volume anthology of Florida literature. His articles have appeared in multiple newspapers statewide and nationally.
