Scott Dickinson to perform at Pilars Loft

The concert takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 31.

The Scott Dickinson Quartet will take the stage at Pilars Loft this week.

The concert is scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Pilars, 146 W. Plant St., Suite 120, Winter Garden.

The quartet features Dickinson (trumpet and vocals) with Per Danielsson (piano), Marco Bojorquez (bass) and Jeremy Katalenic (drums). 

Dickinson has shared the stage with major artists such as Michael Feinstein, Larry Coryell, Alphonse Mouzon\ and Mason Bates. He has also been a finalist in several performance competitions, including the National Trumpet Competition, the International Trumpet Guild Competition and the Chicago Union League Jazz Competition. 

He has performed at venues such as New York's Smoke and Chicago's Green Mill Cocktail Lounge, as well as at jazz festivals in Jacksonville, Chicago, France, The Netherlands, Switzerland and China. 

Dickinson is a member of the Dr. Phillips Jazz Orchestra. He holds degrees in jazz performance and composition from the University of North Florida, Depaul University and the University of Miami.
