Anne Douglas has announced her candidacy for the Orange County School Board District 4 seat.

Douglas is a public school teacher with 25 years of experience. 

Her focuses for her campaign include accessible schools, faculty and staff benefits, thoughtful growth, and environmental sustainability. 

She was born to a mother who was a nurse and a father who is a business owner. She was raised in France, instilling in her a profound appreciation for education and public service. 

Douglas' passion for learning, particularly in languages like English and Spanish, flourished during her upbringing. Her commitment to education and cultural diversity deepened when she met her husband as an exchange student working at Walt Disney World's Epcot.

With humble beginnings as a maid, Douglas' journey in education began in 1999 when she transitioned to become a public school teacher, specializing in elementary education. 

Over the years, she has navigated every level of K-12 education and ventured into higher education, amassing a wealth of experience and insight. 

She is known for her dedication to going the extra mile, ensuring her students are well-prepared for the challenges of higher education and the workforce.

Douglas has received endorsements from Orange County District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson, as well as state representatives Victor "Vic" Torres and Jennifer "Rita" Harris.
