West, Southwest Orange's high school football schedule for SSAA playoffs games

With the FHSAA regular season officially wrapping up on Nov. 7, the only games taking place Friday, Nov. 8, in the West Orange and Southwest Orange County area are three SSAA semifinals involving Windermere Prep, Foundation Academy and Legacy Charter. 

To get you set for these Nov. 8 playoff matchups, Orange Observer Sports Editor Sam Albuquerque gives you a few notes from each matchup to watch out for.

SSAA Playoffs

FRIDAY, NOV. 8
Kickoff at 2 p.m.

Windermere Prep (1-6) vs. Ceder Creek Christian (4-5)
Class 1A semifinals 

In this early kickoff, the Lakers will look to seal their place in the SSAA Class 1A championship game against the winner of the Legacy Charter/Trinity Prep game. 

Kickoff at 7 p.m.

Foundation Academy (5-4) vs. St. Joseph Academy (9-1)
Class 5A semifinals

Led by its two-way star Steven Grecco, the Lions have won three games in a row and are one win away from the 5A championship game.

Legacy Charter (3-6) vs. Trinity Prep (1-8?)
Class 1A semifinals

After a tough start to the season, the Eagles have won back-to-back games and put themselves in position to compete for the 1A championship.
