The storm evacuees stayed at Madison at Ocoee for several days while sheltering in place and awaiting the all-clear to return home.

During this time, Madison at Ocoee residents assembled welcome bags to help ease their guests' transition during the challenging time, as well as to ensure everyone felt supported and cared for during their temporary stay.

The welcome bags were filled with essential items and small comforts, such as snacks, luffas and cotton swabs.

Along with executive leadership from Atlas Senior Living, Madison at Ocoee's staff members also stayed in the community with the residents during the storm to provide care and support, ensuring the well-being of both their residents and guests.

"Our residents were quick to respond when they heard others needed help," said Greg Crutcher, chief marketing officer for Atlas Senior Living. "They worked together to create these welcome bags, showing the compassion and sense of community we are so proud of. It was inspiring to see everyone come together during such a difficult time."

Madison at Ocoee is located at 80 N. Clarke Road, Ocoee. For more information on the senior living community, call (689) 400-7263.
