Theatre South Playhouse bringing “Annie” to Dr. Phillips

The show will be performed for a final weekend at the theater.

Theatre South Playhouse in Dr. Phillips continues its presentation of the musical “Annie” through Nov. 17 with a fresh take on this popular story told in a new light in this immersive space.

Co-directed by Hillary Brook and Mark Ferrera, with choreography by Chris Payen and musical direction by Justin Smolik, “Annie” features a cast of professional performers – including local favorites Sean Powell as Daddy Warbucks, Ashley Karolys as Grace, Danny Sanchez as Bert Healy, Pat Clark as Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Callie Shepherd as Lilly, and Ben Gaetanos as Rooster.

“Annie will feature Scottie McLaughlin as Ms. Hanigan in his Theatre South Playhouse debut and Taylor Olson and Belle Acosta as Annie in alternating performances.

The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday Nov. 14, Friday, Nov. 15, and Saturday, Nov. 16; and at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, and Sunday, Nov. 17. Tickets are available at teachtix.com/tsplayhouse.
