Here's a roundup, including scores and notes, of all of the high school football action in West Orange and Southwest Orange from the opening round of the FHSAA football playoffs and the SSAA Class 1A championship game.

FHSAA playoffs

FRIDAY, NOV. 15

Class 7A, Region 3 quarterfinals

No. 2 Dr. Phillips (10-1), 49

No. 7 Tohopekaliga (6-5), 21

Highlights: On the back of its balanced offensive attack, led by QB Stanley Anderson-Lofton and a trio of running backs — Amari Major, Zion Matthews, and Kenorris White — Dr. Phillips football took control of this opening round matchup and comfortably advanced to the regional semifinal round.

Up next: Dr. Phillips will host the No. 3 Jupiter High Warriors (10-1) at Bill Spoone Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22.

Class 7A, Region 2 quarterfinals

No. 3 West Orange (9-2), 20

No. 6 Apopka (4-6), 19

Highlights: After taking control of the game in the opening three quarters, taking a 20-6 lead, the West Orange Warriors held off the Apopka High comeback in this district rematch. The Blue Darters scored 13 points in the fourth to make it 20-19, and with the ball in the final moments of the game, Apopka had a chance to take the lead, but the Warriors' defense held the visitors to a long field goal attempt — that fell short — as time expired.

Up next: West Orange will be on the road in the regional semifinals, as it heads an hour west to take on the No. 2 Raiders of Plant City High (9-2) at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22.

Full game recap: QB Brian Dillard's three touchdowns, defensive front enough to help Warriors top Blue Darters

SSAA Class 1A Championship Game

POSTPONED — Legacy Charter (4-6) vs. Cedar Creek Christian (5-5)

The 1A title game between the Eagles of Legacy Charter and Cedar Creek Christian, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at Legacy's home field, has been moved to Monday, Nov. 18, due to an issue with referees. In a social media post, the school's athletic department said the location and time of the rescheduled game will be announced soon.
