The girlfriend of a man fatally stabbed Aug. 14 in Ocoee has been arrested in Houston, Texas.

According to Orange County Sheriff’s Office reports, Zoe Nicole Cooper, 18, is facing a second-degree murder charge related to a stabbing incident three months ago.

Her boyfriend, Tadarius Marquise Massey, 19, died from injuries related to a stabbing on Aug. 14. According to reports, Cooper got into an altercation with Massey that turned physical. Massey was stabbed multiple times, and he also had a cut on his forehead and wounds on his neck consistent with strangulation.

Both Massey and Cooper graduated from Ocoee High School earlier this year.

According to an arrest affidavit, Cooper drove Massey and his friends of Orlando Health — Health Central Hospital. Massey’s friends carried him inside, but Cooper did not enter the hospital. Massey died at the hospital.

Sheriff’s Office investigators said Massey had told others Cooper had attacked him in the past and threatened to kill him. An autopsy revealed two old stab wounds on Massey’s shoulder, and investigators also found a photo of a stab wound on his shoulder from March on Massey’s phone. A vice principal at Ocoee High School told deputies Massey said Cooper had stabbed him previously and had attacked him at the school last December, the affidavit said.

Following her arrest, Cooper will be returned to Orange County.
